Class profile This is a class of 30 students,their age is 12-13.Most of them are visual,kinaesthetic and audio learners.They enjoy performing communicative activities; They need to improve reading,speaking and listening skills.

Aims for the lesson (language/skills/other aims)  By the end of the lesson the students will 
·         Have   developed  their  reading skills for gist and for specific information with the reference to a topic on holiday activities.
·         Have learnt and spoken different types of holiday activities with the help of fleshcards ,board and drills.
·         Have developed their listening skills for gist,video and film will help students to see how meaning  is conveyed.
Supplementary Aim: developing writing skills.
Links between this lesson and previous and next lesson:To review some common hobbies and pastimes vocabulary: swimming ,surfing ,sailing, skiing,cycling etc.



Anticipated problems Lack of language knowledge, vocabulary and grammar.
Solving the problems: To discuss the vocabulary and some grammar notes after the first reading (so that the students were able to get used to understanding the details of the text without learning the meaning of some new vocabulary)
.

Aim: To enable students
to prepare and then talk
on holiday activities

T. elicits vocabulary from students, drills pronunciation and reviews some common hobbies and pastimes vocabulary: swimming, surfing, sailing, skiing, cycling etc. Then shows flashcards and brainstorms different types of holiday with the class and shows them in written form on the board, e.g. beach holiday, camping holiday, skiing holiday, etc. Students repeat and discuss which type of holiday they like and talk about where they went last year.
